The Parish Social Commission

Welcome to the Parish Social Commission! Our mission is to bring our parish community together through a variety of social events, both annual and impromptu. Whether it’s a time-honored tradition or a spontaneous gathering, we strive to foster fellowship, joy, and a sense of belonging among all members of our parish family.

What We Do: The Parish Social Commission organizes and oversees numerous events throughout the year to strengthen our community ties. From seasonal celebrations to casual get-togethers, we create opportunities for parishioners of all ages to connect, share, and grow in faith together.

Some of our key events include:

• Annual Gatherings – Holiday celebrations, parish picnics, and fundraising galas.

• Impromptu Events – Special receptions, post-service refreshments, and social meet-ups.

• Fellowship Activities – Game nights, potluck dinners, and community service outreach.

The Hospitality Committee, a vital part of the Social Commission, ensures that all events are welcoming and well-organized. This dedicated group coordinates special gatherings such as:

• Baby Showers – Celebrating the joy of new life within our parish family.

• Parish Picnics – Encouraging fellowship in a relaxed and joyful outdoor setting.

Current Calls:

Baby Showers.

The Parish Hospitality Committee is offering baby showers for parish members that are pregnant or adopting a child. If you, or someone you know, is a Parish member that is expecting a child through pregnancy or adoption, and you would like a baby shower, please complete the Google Form linked on our Parish website and social media titled "Parish Baby Shower Request Form." Lenten Suppers:

Each Friday during Lent, from March 7th to April 11th, we will have Stations of the Cross in the church and Lenten Soup Suppers in the Social Hall.

Stations of the Cross will be in English at 6:30PM and in Spanish at 7:30PM. Soup, bread, and water will be served in the Social Hall between the two services at 7:00PM. All are welcome to attend.

If you would like to volunteer to bring a pot of soup, please contact April Pittman or the Parish Office. You can find the document listing volunteers on our social media or website.
