Faith Formation & Kids' Liturgy

At SFDS, our Children’s Liturgy program is a core part of our parish faith formation, helping kids ages 3–8 connect with the weekend’s Gospel in a way they can understand and remember. During Mass, at the commencement of the Liturgy of the Word, the children join in a ceremonial procession to our social hall gathering room, where our dedicated catechists guide them through the Gospel message using crafts, games, and other engaging hands-on activities.

Older children are invited to assist by handing out crayons and materials, helping the little ones walk safely to and from the sanctuary, and performing other small but important tasks.

We are also in need of more adult volunteers to help guide the children, support our catechists, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment. If you feel called to serve in this joyful ministry, please contact the parish office.
